Rev. Dr. Sharon D. Jones serves as Human Resource Pastor for New Hope Church of God of Waldorf, Inc and the Director of Workforce Development at New Hope Community Outreach Services, Inc. She works alongside her husband and senior pastor, Bishop Aaron R. Jones.
Sharon is an Associate Certified Coach and member of the International Coach Federation (ICF); a Certified LeaderLabs Trainer; and a Certified TTI Success Insights DISC and 12-Driving Forces Behavior Assessor. Sharon and her husband are Certified SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) Facilitators. Together, they own God’s Comfort Ministries based in Waldorf, Maryland.
Sharon earned a Doctorate in Christian Leadership and Management from Logos University in Jacksonville, Florida. She has over thirty years of experience in human resource management and development; secondary and undergraduate education; and marketing and sales. Sharon serves as Evangelism Project Coordinator with the International Church of God’s Ministry of Evangelism in Cleveland, Tenn. She also serves on the Church of God’s DELMARVA-DC Region’s Ministerial Internship Program and Ministerial Care Committee.
Sharon conducts monthly morning devotions at the Catherine Foundation Pregnancy Center in Waldorf, Maryland. She is the Vice President of the International Kingdom Women’s Coalition, Inc. (IKWC) in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Presently, Sharon has developed “Still Waters Seminars” that provide moments of life, leisure, and laughter to pastors and ministers.
Sharon’s life’s motto is “Enjoying Life in Christ.” She answered the call to ministry in 2000 and became an Ordained Minister in 2002. In 2015, she authored a book entitled, R.E.W.A.R.D.: Restoring Every Woman’s Adrenaline Rush to Disciple, and in August 2020, she published her second book, Rise and Fall of Pastors in the 21st Century.
